Those TED talks are amazing aren&#039;t they. 

Re: Marketing. It gets a bad rap because of those scummy people that use it to take advantage of people. Those are scummy people. Not marketing. 

Here&#039;s the definition of marketing from the American Marketing Association website:

&quot;Marketing is the activity, set of institutions, and processes for
creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that
have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large.&quot;

Every interaction we have with someone is a marketing tool. This post. My comment. 
It&#039;s all a form of marketing. Again the difference is we&#039;re trying to bring some value to whoever reads this. 

I&#039;m always trying to help clients get over that icky feeling associated with their current views of marketing. 

My solution so far: Marketing is sharing. 

Share what you know so you can help others achieve their goals. 

Simple. And removes that icky feeling.
